We have some exciting news to share with you! More than that, we would like to ask for your blessing and support as we embark on this new chapter in our musical journey. Over the past few years, God has given us incredible and innumerable opportunities to perform with Equinox all across the country — from Miami to Las Vegas, Aspen to Baltimore, Chicago to New York City, and everywhere in between, with standing ovations and rave reviews at every stop. Last April, we set our musical careers aside and made a mission trip to India to work with some local churches in and around Chennai. While the trip was unrelated to Equinox or musical performance, we wondered how we could put the two together, missions and music. In fact, it has long been our desire to use the talents and abilities God has given us for a higher purpose than mere entertainment. Now, through Global Missions Project (globalmissionsproject.com), we have the opportunity to take the Equinox Orchestra internationally with the mission of assisting local churches as they take the Good News into their communities.
A door has opened for us to travel with the full big band this summer 2015 to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to help the Living Hope Community Church (livinghopehalifax.com) through free public concerts, educational outreaches, etc. We are committed to helping the international family of faith with our music, and we are confident that God will provide all that is needed for this to take place, which in this case, will cost about $80,000 (flights, ground transportation, room and board, etc. for 18 musicians plus support staff). In an effort to raise the necessary funds, we have launched this GoFundMe page, and we asking for your prayers and consideration of financial support as we follow this new missions path for the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra.
